Memorial Day Tribute

One day a year is set aside for the men and women who have answered the call to arms, stood tall and said "I will stand and fight for America". Where in the world would we be without their sacrifices? Although I am no longer able to attend the local services, Freda and I have assembled a short tribute to these great Americans. Please take a few minutes to watch and never let their memory fade. Soldier, Sailor, Airmen, Coastguard, Marine and Merchant Marine, thank you and we will remember. One day is not enough.

A little about me:

After a life of hard work, my lovely wife and I retired to her home town in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. Having proudly served in the U. S. Navy for the good old USA, my patriotic spirit has been lifelong, but my political activism arrived late on the scene when I saw how Big Government was being allowed to seep into every aspect of our lives -- all from simple apathy and complacency that may well prove fatal to our free republic. It is time to pay attention, take a stand, and speak up in defense of all that we hold most dear. We must get involved. We must all become watchdogs over greedy, power-hungry politicians both locally and nationally. This is our neighborhood, our nation, our freedom and our liberty -- don't give it all away or let it erode from neglect -- not on our watch!
